This top is made with 100% Shantung Silk (deadstock fabric), lining with naturallu dyed organic cotton ( GOTS certified)

The shantung is a wild silk fabric (tussah), characterized by a rough surface, very irregular and raw appearance.
Woven to the touch a little rough, particularly bright and apparently more rigid than classic silk, shantung is produced by worms fed with oak leaves and juniper that grow in an uncontrolled way: for this type of cloth, in fact, the creation and destruction of the cocoon, as well as the filament of the fabric, are left as natural as possible.
In the production of silk shantung, the filament is characterized by very small knots that determine the typical brightness of this fabric and make it, at the same time, rough. The result is a sturdy and solid fabric, with great character and extremely elegant.

the TOP has a wide and shirt fit, adaptable to all sizes.

CAUTION!! This fabric has not been washed and releases color!

WE RECOMMEND A FIRST WASH HANDMADE IN COLD WATER , SEPARATELY FROM OTHER GARMENTS!

Then it's recommended to wash always handmade , using a neutral detergent (free of chemicals), and to dry it in the shade.

Some colour may fade slightly over time.
This feature, as well as some small imperfections due to the weaving on a hand loom, are not considered defects but authentic details and characteristic of an artisanal production process.
